CRY NO MORE (Japan Version)
February 9, 2006 WonderfullCRY NO MORE is a beautiful ballad, not like Yuki no Hana or Sakura Iro Mau koro, more jazzy and stylish. The coupling track, BLACK & BLUE is awesome, it's very catchy and Mika's voice is perfect for it. Lori Fine is really one of the best song writers out there. Get this single! ENDLESS STORY - REIRA starring YUNA ITO (Japan Version)
(10)Our Price: US$15.25Usually ships within 7 daysSeptember 4, 2005 Perfect singleYuna is a great catch for Sony since it's pretty rare to find American born Japanese singers that are this good. I was able to listen to the full single today and I can say I'm glad to have pre-ordered this because it's one hell of a single.
ENDLESS STORY is a very touching song about an unending love filled with troubles. And JOURNEY is this really great upbeat song about the roads we take in life.
I suggest that any Nana fan get this, but also that non-Nana fans at least try this single to find out how good Yuna's voice is.
Also, check out the Nana Soundtrack, it supposedly has both Yuna and Mika live performances on the CD, so that is a must have. That CD is limited edition only so be wise and pre-order it in advance.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Promise / Star (Japan Version)

September 3, 2005 Promise=Great/Star=SuckyI think Promise is Ku's best song yet. It's so sweet, and I think her voice is perfect for these songs. Star, however, is not much of a song. It's a fast, kind of weird song with really not much of an appeal.
The picture of Ku on the Promise is soooo pretty too, she looks so classy, but the Star cover is so..slutty. I hope she keeps making good music like Promise.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Touch / Yume no Tsuzuki (Japan Version)
July 19, 2005 Her 4th singleThis is only Younha's 4th Japanese single, not her fifth. The original Yubikiri is a Korean single and will therefore not be on her album. Originally her debut album was planned for July but they postponed it to give Younha more of a chance to get herself known before that time. The album will most likely be sold shortly after this single. 4 singles before an album isn't that bad in my opinion. I'd rather have more singles and extra songs/PVs then less.
Either way, I'm sure this song will rock. Younha is a great singer and she's astounded me from the very beginning. So, Go Younha!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
OCEAN (Japan Version)

July 18, 2005 Boring..I saw the video for this single, and I was hoping that Ocean would be a rock song, but instead it's just a really boring ballad. What makes it worse is that the music is also boring, so there's no real reason to get this single. B'z may still be popular, but I have followed their career for a long time, and it feels like both Tak and Koshi have grown bored of their own music. Did you find this review helpful? Four Dimensions (Japan Version)
July 1, 2005 So/soThis is the first Mr.Children single I bought, but I was rather disappointed. I always hear people say that they're so good, but all of these songs are mediocre in my opinion. When it comes to this kind of music I prefer Porno Graffitti because their lead singer has a more interesting voice, while this music is just kind of bland and uninteresting. "and I love you" is the only good song on this single. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Let's go faraway (Japan Version)
June 29, 2005 Very catchy! This single has two very catchy songs! "Let's go faraway" sounds somewhat like No Limit and Better Days but I think it's much better than those songs. Sowelu's voice is so well honed now, and she makes me happy with her strong and rich voice. Morning train is a very good cover of the original, Sowelu really gave it her own personal touch just by using her sweet voice. This is probably the best summer single of this year!! Voice (Japan Version)
April 6, 2005 Get this single now! With Shinichi Osawa (Mondo Gross) producing the music and Eri doing the lyrics and vocals, you can't go wrong. This song is awesome, much better than her debut single Lights (which is also impressive). This song has an ace dance beat accompanied with spanish instruments and the amazingly strong voice of Nobuchika Eri. I really love how she's developing her own genre of music. Though I doubt that this will ever be mainstream, since she's not wearing pink skirts and doing the peace sign. If you're looking for an awesome dance single, Eri is your girl. Highly recommended release! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Voice (Japan Version)
March 25, 2005 Eri is great!I just heard the live version of Eri's new song "Voice" and it's awesome! It's a ballad mixed with Mondo Grosso beats and a great spanish guitar. I really hope this single will break through on the charts because Eri is one of the best singers I know and she has a great future ahead of her. Highly recommended for anyone that wants something other than the usual J-Pop. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Crystal Style (CD+DVD)(Limited Edition)(Japan Version)
March 8, 2005 Good, but not good enoughThis album is alright. I feel that Kuri didn't really put her heart into many of these songs. So far the only new song I like on this album is "LOVE it TAKE it". I like "Bye My Darling" and "flowers", but I already have those in single format, so I feel that this album was a bit of a let-down.
When I saw Kuri on TV singing duets with Sowelu, I was so touched by her rich voice. But then when I listened to this album, it irritated me that the vocals are so generic. Anyone could have sung these songs, and because of that it's not really special.
I'm a great supporter of J-R&B, but this album wasn't what I hoped it would be.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

January 13, 2005 Finally her new album!
After waiting for a year and a half, Jpop fans are finally treated to a sweet surprise. Sweet Bridge is a wonderful album, and one of the best I've heard in years! The songs "I Will", "Last Forever", "No Limit" and "Glisten" are reason enough to buy this album. But instead of relying on her previous singles to make this album worthwile, Sowelu gives us 7 brand new songs! "Do You Remember That?" is a great soft-rock/R&B song, "He is not for me", however, is a lively, up-beat song, and is perhaps my favourite on this album because her voice sounds so great and the song is so fluent. The next three songs, "Cloudy", "shower" and "Joy" are just brilliant! Each song is so unique, and yet so familiar! Sowelu's voice sounds very mature and sweet, rewarding the listener for his or her attention. "Secret Candle Light" and "You are my everything" are wonderful slow-dance songs, and really make a great finish for this album. The only song I couldn't place was "the Rose", it really didn't fit with this album, and I would have rather seen a song like "Candy Rain" or "Just Wanna Splash" in its place. That doesn't take away that it's a great song though. The Miss Monday song doesn't really count as a Sowelu song, because Sowelu only has 4 lines in it. Despite that, I still like the song. Sweet Bridge is a great buy, whether you are a first time Jpop listener or an established fan. I garantee that you won't regret buying it! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
girl-Selfish (Japan Version)
December 4, 2004 Definately NOT for kidsKoda Kumi is an interesting singer. The songs "selfish" and "shake it" are very well done vocally, but in "24" she really seems to strain her voice which makes her sound so fake.
The videos are VERY explicit and really remind me of the recent releases of one Britney Spears in America. The first two videos are very erotic and sexual, in the first one there is actually a part where Koda "rides" a guy who lays on the floor and she makes moaning sounds...
The second video is definately not suitable for kids, because the dancing actually mimics sexual conduct. The last video seems to be really low budget compared to the first two, where Koda simply lays in bed and makes faces.
Overal, I was happy with the music, but the video was pretty shocking for me, because I'm used to Japanese videos being very proper and clean.
I wouldn't recommend this product for people under 18, and also not for those who can't stand sexually explicit music videos.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Last Forever (Japan Version)
November 20, 2004 Sowelu does it again! This single is fantastic!
Last Forever is a very sweet and gentle song, yet Sowelu's "power-voice" really seems to fit it perfectly. Just Wanna Splash is a totally different Pop song with less interesting lyrics but a more cheerful beat. Sowelu's cover of The Rose is awesome even though I'm not a great fan of this song. Lastly the instrumental version of Last Forever is beautfully engineered and is now my favourite instrumental song made for Sowelu.
Any self-respecting Jpop lover should really get this present. It'd make a great Christmas gift!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
