Boring Movie Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
I have rent this movie from Blockbuster Video by yesterday and it is very suck,My subjection japannese action movie are suck not that good at all. I don't think a old blind man like this can fight for real hero and it disqualify to be that good of fighting.

Zatoichi Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
2003/4 seems a good yr for bloody samurai films, out of those films i think kill bill vol 1 will definitely lead the way, but Zatoichi will closely follow.

The actually format of the film is bit strange, in that there are 3 stories, and Zatoichi is the connection between them. I guess the character Zatoichi brought out the characters from all the stories with strong contrast with the ronin sword man.

Actor and director Takeshi once again shows his charisma and talent by bring in muscial element into the film, overall a great film, but i do like the use of cgi "blood" effect and the screentime Zatoichi seem little compared to other character.

Mediocre! Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
I have to admit, while watching this movie i was a bit hesitant, not knowing if it would indeed live up to a giant name Zatoichi. I was quite disappointed. He never gave the same emotions, the same feelings Ichi-san was reknown for. Although a small deal, he carried the sword wrong too! All in all, if there was ONE movie to be called Zatoichi, it would be Shintaro Katsu's Zatoichi movie. The right man for the legend that Ichi-san is known for. Lets leave Mr. Takeshi with his Takeshi castle and his Battle Royale.

a true master !!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
one can't expect from a Samurai's film to be funny
amusing and at the same time to be so dramatic but interesting ...am i wrong?
well somehow this wonderfull movie gives you the feel
as if Takasi Kitano is not falling into that cliche' of samurai films...one other significant thing i doubt people refer to when chit chatting about his films is his acting capabilities which for my opinion are proved to be as good as his directing talent specially here .....and somehow during the film Tarantino pops up to your mind and you wonder....as if this is a good dialogue between the two...
one of the greatest films done this year that you feel like you want to see again and again....so here i go ...another
Samurai session....
see ya
and enjoy

Excellent Movie! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I really enjoyed this film. I've seen it twice and won't be the last time. I own every other Zatoichi film by Shintaro Katsu, but this new Zatoichi movie is really awesome. I hope there are more like this one in the near future. Can't wait to see it when they release it in the bigscreen here in the U.S....wow!Kitano is magnificent.

Zatoichi Rocks Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

This movie was one of the most visually striking movies I have seen.

Only Takeshi Kitano could have tap dancing inside a bloody samurai action flick. This film had me hooked from the first moment and never let go until the final credits.

The action scenes were superb, direction and story. Buy this DVD you will not regret it.

This film wipes the floor with Kill Bill. Tarantino needed two movies to do his revenge piece. Kitano only needed one movie to do all his slicing and dicing.

An instant classic.

Zatoichi Rocks!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
BEAT Takeshi IS Zatoichi!! This movie has the most realistic arterial blood sprays ever captured on film. This is a very worthy successor to Katsu Shintaro's version. I hope this is the first of many, many sequels!!
