本作では「リアル」をキーワードに、実在に存在する兵器のようにゾイドをリデザイン。プレイヤーは、5 人の少数精鋭のゾイド部隊を指揮し、困難なミッションをクリアして行きます。
ゲームは 60 種以上にも及ぶ豊富なパーツや、53 種のパイロットのスキルを用意。
敵を集中攻撃可能な「援護システム」、一度に複数の敵を攻撃可能な「EMP システム」といった、 緻密な戦術に必要なシステムも存在します。
ユニットのセッティングや、プレイヤーの進軍が勝利の鍵をとなります。
