Tada Kaoru's 1991 manga Itazura na Kiss has already been adapted for television four times – one series in Japan, two series in Taiwan and one series in South Korea. Now, Fuji Television brings the popular romance of a smart boy and a not-so-smart girl back to Japan with Itazura na Kiss – Love in TOKYO. Starring Miki Honoka (Suzuki Sensei) as underachiever Kotoko and Furukawa Yuki (Rich Man Poor Woman) as handsome genius as Naoko, Love in TOKYO retains the same basic story as the other adaptations, but it also offers a new setting and the Japanese cultural flavors missing in the overseas adaptations. The drama's DVD set includes the Director's Cut of the series and bonus video footage.

Volume one includes episodes 1-8.
