Lawyer-turned-filmmaker Freddy Tang makes his directorial debut with the legal drama Fantasy·World, the closing film of the 2022 Taipei Film Festival. Starring Joseph Chang, Lee Kang Sheng, Cammy Chiang, Ivy Yin and Kimi Hsia, the gripping Taiwan film presents a harrowing case of power and sexual abuse, and a searing indictment of a system that fails to protect victims.

For his very first case, human rights lawyer Zhang (Joseph Chang) takes on a sexual assault case that has shocked society. He represents the defendant Tang (Lee Kang Sheng), a tutor accused of using fairy tales to lure young female students into sexual relationships. Inexperienced and eager to achieve, Zhang does everything he can to win the lawsuit. A decade later, Tang stands trial again for a similar case of sexual assault, and the guilt-ridden Zhang tries to make up for the past by representing the victim this time.
