Yamazaki Kento stars as Abe no Seimei, a legendary onmyoji of the Heian period, in the Japanese period fantasy blockbuster The Yin Yang Master Zero! Also known as Onmyoji Zero, the film commemorating the 1,100th anniversary of Abe no Seimei's birth takes inspiration from Yumemakura Baku's Onmyoji novel series. Written and directed by Sato Shimako (K-20: Legend of the Mask), The Yin Yang Master Zero unfurls a magical and imaginative spectacle about the youthful adventures of Abe no Seimei before he becomes a divination sorcerer for the ages. Yamazaki Kento is joined by an all-star cast that includes Sometani Shota, Nao, Ando Masanobu, Murakami Nijiro, Itagaki Rihito, Kunimura Jun, Kitamura Kazuki and Kobayashi Kaoru.

In the Heian period, the Onmyoryo, a school for onmyoji and an administrative agency that protects the capital from curses and evil, is the center of politics. Onmyoryo student Abe no Seimei (Yamazaki Kento) is talented in sorcery, so much so that he's called a genius, but the misanthropic young man has no interest in becoming an onmyoji. One day, he is asked by aristocrat Minamoto no Hiromasa (Sometani Shota) to decipher a mysterious phenomenon that has befallen princess Kishi (Nao). Despite their differences, Seimei and Hiromasa pursue the truth together, and get embroiled in a sinister conspiracy.
