The Kingdom film series returns in 2024 with its fourth and final installment Kingdom 4: Return of the Great General. Based on Haru Yasuhisa's manga, the Japanese period war epic series reimagining the history of China's ancient Warring States period began in 2019 with the first Kingdom, and was followed with two sequels in 2022 and 2023. Like past entries, Kingdom 4 is directed by Sato Shinsuke and written by Kuroiwa Tsutomu.

Yamazaki Kento continues to star in the leading role of young warrior Shin who assists Yoshizawa Ryo's King Eisei (Qin Shi Huang) as the battle between Qin and Zhao intensifies. Kikkawa Koji joins the franchise as their strongest enemy Houken, and Oguri Shun as mysterious strategist Riboku. Other returning cast members of the film series include Seino Nana, Tamaki Hiroshi, Sato Koichi, Nagasawa Masami, Yamada Yuki, Yamamoto Koji and Osawa Takao, who won Best Supporting Actor at the 48th Japan Academy Film Prize for his performance as Qin general Wang Qi. Kingdom 4: Return of the Great General was also recognized for Best Cinematography, Best Lighting Direction and Best Sound Recording from the Japan Academy Film Prize.

This edition comes with the film on Blu-ray and DVD. It includes a special booklet, a character photo card with special card case, an illustration visual card and a bonus disc of special features.
