全劇講述一無所有的開朗少女權五福(金素恩 飾)從鄉下來到首爾之後一步步朝著插畫設計師的夢想成功的故事。

女主角五福的父親自從母親去世後開始拿錢去外面投資，但投資失敗造成五福受了很多苦，但五福從來沒有怨言，為了追求成為「畫家」的夢想努力不懈。高中肄業，帶著自己畫的最好的插圖至首爾市應徵，但天不從人願，原本說好的旅社訂金也被父親抽走，造成當天無法住宿。在路上因緣際會看到張民國(李憲禎 飾)為情跳江，且有新聞live直播，自己也上去訴說自己的不幸表達自己對父親的不滿，兩人獲救後民國將五福帶到自己朋友素智(鄭多英 飾)家中。因素智不收留故五福先再外擺地攤，卻被開車過去的大韓(陳益漢 飾)濺了一身水，造成五福和大韓的相識，而五福後來還是回到素智家，為貼補家用，故五福努力找工作後進入健康乳業工作，接著又是和大韓一起工作的開始........
