YesAsia.com was a proud sponsor of the SMTOWN Live' 10 World Tour concert held on September 4, 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Presented by Korea's top talent agency SM Entertainment, the SMTOWN concert tour featuring the agency's full roster of pop stars is one of the biggest events in Asian music every year. Other than concerts in Seoul, Tokyo, and Shanghai, this year SMTOWN traveled outside of Asia for the first time ever with a stop in Los Angeles, California, and YesAsia was there to support the momentous event.
Lasting around four hours, SMTOWN's first concert in the United States was a resounding success. Super Junior, Girls' Generation, BoA, TVXQ's U-Know and Max, Kangta, SHINee, f(x), Trax, Zhang Li Yin, and other SM Entertainment artists performed their hit songs and staged special collaborative performances to a packed audience of over 15,000 enthusiastic fans. Many concertgoers traveled from far for the rare chance to see the Korean superstars, all of whose albums can be found at YesAsia.com.
As the No. 1 Asian Online Entertainment Store, YesAsia.com has been bringing Korean music products to worldwide shoppers for over ten years. By making Korean music easily accessible to international fans, YesAsia.com plays a proud part in the rising global popularity of K-pop. Releases from SM Entertainment artists like Super Junior, Girls' Generation, and TVXQ regularly top YesAsia's sales charts.
With such deep ties to Korean pop music, YesAsia.com gladly lent support to the SMTOWN World Tour's foray into North America. As event sponsors, YesAsia.com in conjunction with sister site YesStyle.com ran a promotional booth at the SMTOWN concert venue that attracted great crowds. YesAsia also organized ticket giveaways through the site's Facebook page to reach out to the K-pop fan community.
