An unlikely romance between an effeminate male "princess" and the tomboyish female "prince", popular manga series Ai wo Utauyori Ore ni Oborero - better known to fans as Ai Ore! - is now a live-action film! Karam of Korean boy band The Boss (a.k.a. Dae Guk Nam Ah or Daikoku Danji) makes his feature film debut as Akira, a feminine student at an all-boys school who openly declares his love for band leader Mizuki (Ono Ito), the popular male-like all-girls school student. The directorial debut on short film director/assistant director/scriptwriter Fukuyama Sakurako, the film version of Ai Ore! starts off as a hilariously offbeat romantic comedy, but becomes a heartwarming drama about the strength of true love.
To effectively differentiate the two lovers' personalities and gender roles, the film features fashion from popular lolita fashion brands Baby, The Stars Shine Bright and h. NAOTO.
