SBS romantic drama Angel Eyes stars Lee Sang Yoon (Liar Game) and Ku Hye Sun (Boys Over Flowers) as rescue workers who share an unforgettable first love that brings them back together as adults. Yoon Soo Wan lost her eyesight as a child due to a terrible accident that also claimed her mother's life. As a teenager, she meets and falls in love with Park Dong Joo, a sweet guy with a warmhearted mother whom Soo Wan loves like her own. When Dong Joo's mother is gravely injured, it is Soo Wan's father (Jung Jin Young) who serves as her surgeon, but he wavers when he realizes that she has specified Soo Wan as the recipient of her cornea.

Twelve years later, Soo Wan has become a happy, healthy and spunky rescue worker with a loving doctor boyfriend in Kang Ji Woon (Kim Ji Suk), though she has never forgotten the first love who suddenly disappeared from her life one day without a word. Meanwhile, Dong Joo, who moved abroad after his mother's death, grows up into a doctor, following in the footsteps of his benefactor – Soo Wan's father, who has been lying to both Dong Joo and Soo Wan all these years. Returning to Korea, Dong Joo joins Ji Woon's hospital and comes across Soo Wan again, but she does not recognize him. Nor does she know the terrible truth behind her cornea transplant.
