Jung Woo (Heung-boo: The Revolutionist) acts as a "good neighbor" who secretly monitors a politician next door in the comedy-drama Best Friend! Writer-director Lee Hwan Kyung presents his first feature seven years after the acclaimed blockbuster Miracle in Cell No. 7. The film's cast includes Oh Dal Soo (Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds), Kim Hee Won (The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful), Kim Byung Chul (Wonderful Nightmare), Lee Yoo Bi (Twenty) and Cho Hyun Chul (Samjin Company English Class).
Best Friend depicts a story set in the 1980s. NIS agent Dae Kwon (Jung Woo) leads a wiretapping team to keep politician Lee Eui Shik (Oh Dal Soo) and his family under surveillance. They disguise as neighbors and uncover secrets while the Lee family is in quarantine.
