Maeda Gordon stars as Yaguchi Yatora, the young protagonist who experiences his artistic awakening. The high school student initially struggles with an art assignment, but eventually feels inspired to paint a blue painting of Shibuya at dawn. Able to express himself for the first time, Yatora decides to pursue art in university, but many challenges await him. Blue Period gathers a shining ensemble of popular actors, including Takahashi Fumiya, Itagaki Rihito, Sakurada Hiyori and Sena Nakajima, to paint the artistic yearnings and coming-of-age etudes of young burgeoning artists.
