Writer-director Miki Satoshi goes on an oddball adventure into another world in Convenience Story, which is based on an original story conceptualized by film critic Mark Schilling. Starring Narita Ryo (Homunculus) and Maeda Atsuko (To the Ends of the Earth), the film unfurls a topsy-turvy story characterized by the quirky comedy and unexpected leaps of imagination that Miki Satoshi is known for.

Young screenwriter Kato (Narita Ryo) is in a creative slump and spends his days worrying about his go-nowhere project. His lover's dog keeps getting in the way of his writing, so he abandons it in the mountains in a fit of anger. Then he goes back to search for the dog. On the way, Kato's rental car breaks down, and he ends up at a convenience store run by the mysterious Keiko (Maeda Atsuko). There he enters another world different from his own.

【ストーリー】　
絶賛スランプ中の若手脚本家・加藤（成田凌）。映画の企画を持ち込んでもまったく手ごたえがなく、悶々と悩む日々を過ごしている。恋人の愛犬・ケルベロスのペットフード「犬人間」を買いに出かけたはずが、ひょんなことから欲しいものがなんでも見つかるコンビニエンス・ストア「リソーマート」に迷い込む。妖しげな人妻・惠子（前田敦子）と出会い、創作意欲が湧き始めるのだが…。
