Loletta Lee sealed her sex symbol image in Hong Kong cinema in the 1993 Category III classic Crazy Love. The actress appeared nude onscreen to play a young woman who makes discoveries about love, sex and herself over one summer. Directed by Roman Cheung and produced by Clifton Ko, the erotic drama is based on the German erotic comedy The Fruit is Ripe, and it spawned a later series of same-titled films (The Fruit is Swelling, The Fruit is Ripe and The 33D Invader).

20-year-old Jane (Loletta Lee) was raised in a rich household and pampered from a young age. However, this good girl has a wild side that yearns to be unleashed. For summer, Jane's parents have arranged for her to study abroad, but she decides to grab this opportunity to plan her own romantic vacation. She gives her plane ticket to a friend and happily prepares to spend the summer with her boyfriend. Instead, she discovers that her boyfriend is fooling around with another girl. Jane impulsively heads to an outlying island where she meets various men, including a writer who flutters her heart.
