Odd, yet appropriately titled Mainland drama Crazy Money & Funnymen follows a young man's hilarious journey from poor student to stock market genius. In the fast-paced bustle of urban China, mischievous but kind-hearted Zhao Xiaobao (Yu Entai) is having a bit of trouble finding a job. Every employment bid turns into a goofy, obstacle-ridden adventure for him. In a fortuitous turn of events, Xiaobao gets pulled into the stock markets by newfound friend and teacher Lao Man (Li Qi), and sees for the first time the spectrum of corruption and deception that wealth is built on. In this new world, he encounters both love and enemies, underlining his determination to not lose his pants or his soul playing the markets.
