Operation Mekong (2016)
Director Dante Lam brings the action in the crime thriller Operation Mekong starring Zhang Hanyu (The Taking of Tiger Mountain) and Eddie Peng, in his third collaboration with Lam after Unbeatable and To the Fore. Inspired by real events, the crime action blockbuster sends Chinese officers into the Golden Triangle, the notorious drug-producing region of Southeast Asia, for a thrilling barrage of special ops action and shootouts choreographed by Stephen Tung.

In October 2011, the 13 crew members of two Chinese cargo ships were shot to death on the Mekong River, which runs through the Golden Triangle, and a large amount of drugs were recovered from the crime scene. The Chinese government dispatches an anti-narcotics task force led by Gao Gang (Zhang Hanyu) to the area to investigate. There Gao teams up with intelligence officer Fang Xinwu (Eddie Peng) for a dangerous mission that takes them deep into the lawless jungles of the Golden Triangle and the lair of ruthless druglord Naw Khar (Pawalit Mongkolpisit, Bangkok Dangerous).

Operation Red Sea (2018)
Dante Lam follows Operation Mekong with the even bigger action blockbuster Operation Red Sea, the box office winner of the 2018 Chinese New Year releases. The gritty war film grossed over 3.6 billion yuan to become the second biggest Chinese film of all time. Operation Red Sea follows a Chinese assault team's military operations in a fictional war-torn African nation. Encompassing urban, naval and desert combat, sniper action, counter-terrorism, and stealth and guerrilla tactics, the film viscerally depicts the bloodily realistic conditions and dangers of modern-day warfare. Operation Red Sea features an ensemble cast that includes Zhang Yi (Dearest), rising star Johnny Huang (Addicted), Jiang Luxia (Vampire Warriors), Prince Mak of JJCC, and Zhang Hanyu in a special appearance. Simon Yam, Huo Siyan and Ian Wang also make cameo appearances.

When a Chinese cargo ship gets attacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia, the Chinese Navy deploys the elite Jiaolong assault team led by Yang Rui (Zhang Yi) to handle the situation. Though the rescue operation is successful, the team's primary sniper sustains a critical injury. Afterwards, the Jiaolong team, along with headstrong replacement sniper Gu Shun (Johnny Huang), is sent to the African nation of Yewair, which has fallen into civil warfare. The Jiaolong team must evacuate Chinese nationals to safety, but the streets have turned into an all-out war zone. Furthermore, the team must rescue a Chinese citizen who has been taken hostage by a heavily armed terrorist group that is after nuclear materials.

The Rescue (2021)
Continuing their collaboration after Operation Mekong, To the Fore and Unbeatable, director Dante Lam and star Eddie Peng team up again for the action film The Rescue. Co-starring Xin Zhilei, Ian Wang and Lan Yingying, the film revolves around the operations and heroics of the China Rescue and Salvage service that focuses on maritime rescue and salvaging. Dante Lam delivers another visceral and explosive action spectacle in the thrilling disaster epic.

Captain Gao Qian (Eddie Peng), helicopter pilot Fang Yuling (Xin Zhilei) and winchman Zhao Cheng (Ian Wang) lead a maritime emergency response team that stand at the frontline against natural and man-made disasters at sea. They are the first to arrive and the last to evacuate. Together, the team takes on rescue operations during large-scale accidents involving an offshore oil rig, a tanker and a passenger airplane, putting their own lives in peril to save others.
