YesAsia Editorial Description

In 2007, Bobby Au-yeung became the first Hong Kong actor to receive a nomination for Best Actor at the International Emmy Awards with his performance in the hit TVB drama Dicey Business. Produced to celebrate the television network's 39th anniversary, the gambling-themed grand production is built around Bobby and charismatic actor Michael Miu, with Jessica Hester Hsuan, Bosco Wong, Tavia Yeung, and veteran actor Hui Siu Hung in chief supporting roles.

Ever since his defeat in the World Poker King tournament 20 years ago, Chai Foon Cheung (Bobby Au-yeung) has been in a streak of unparalleled bad luck, losing every single time he gambles. His old rival Kiu Ching Chor (Michael Miu) offers him a job at his casino in the Philippines, where Chor and his earnest employee Chow Fuk Wing (Hui Siu Hung) befriend him. Through the help of compulsive gambler Lee Ching Wan (Jessica Hester Hsuan), Cheung is reunited with his long-lost brother Chai Foon Lok (Bosco Wong), a reclusive young man with an extraordinary gift for gambling. Chor takes Lok under his wing, teaching him gambling skills while secretly sowing discord between Cheung and Lok...

Product Information

CHAI FOON-CHONG (AU YEUNG CHUN WAH, BOBBY) has not won a single game since his defeat in the international Poker Tournament twenty years ago. It is the bad luck he has had all these years that has earned him a job in the casino. And ironically, the man who hires him is one of his then competitors KIU CHING-CHO (MIU KIU WAI).

CHONG gets reunited with his long-lost brother CHAI FOON-LOK (WONG CHUNG CHAK BOSCO) through a compulsive gambler named LI CHING-WAN (HSUAN JESSICA HESTER). LOK has grown to be a reclusive adolescent with an extraordinary gift for gambling. CHO recognizes LOK's talent and offers to teach him different gambling skills. On the surface, CHO is a great mentor and friend who looks out for LOK and CHONG in every way, but in reality he has been trying to create discord between the brothers. As a matter of fact, it was CHO who set CHONG up and caused his downfall, CHO keeps fanning the flames of conflict between CHONG and LOK, turning them into bitter rivals on the gambling front....

It is ok Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This 2006 show has a lot of things going on. Sometimes, may be a bit too much. I enjoyed seeing the views
of Philippines and Monkok etc but sometimes it was a bit busy to keep up with where the characters were.

I thought the one I most wanted
to see was Michael Mui but I actually liked the development of Bosco Wong's character. Even though I did not
like the character Eric Lee played but I think he did a good job.
