Suda Masaki returns as a curly-haired, mystery-solving college student in the 2023 feature film Don't Call It Mystery, the silver-screen sequel to the hit 2022 Fuji TV drama. Again directed by Matsuyama Hiroaki, Don't Call It Mystery the Movie is based on the popular Hiroshima Arc of Tamura Yumi's manga Mystery to Iu Nakare that wasn't covered in the TV series. This time, hero Kuno Totono goes to Hiroshima and becomes entangled in an inheritance dispute involving the prestigious Kariatsumari family. The Kariatsumari estate has been passed down from generation to generation, and each time the inheritance process causes troubles – and deaths.

Shibasaki Kou, Machida Keita, Hagiwara Riku and Hara Nanoka join the cast as the four grandchildren and potential heirs of the Kariatsumari family estate. Matushita Kouhei plays the grandson of the Kariatsumari family's legal advisor. They must solve the mystery written in the will to get the inheritance, but hidden in the inheritance are the family's dark secrets, passed down through generations.
