Theater director and actor Kafuku Yusuke (Nishijima Hidetoshi) had a fulfilling marriage with his wife (Kirishima Reika), a scriptwriter, until she suddenly disappeared from his life, leaving behind many secrets. Two years later, Yusuke sets out for Hiroshima in his beloved old car to attend a theater event. He is accompanied on this trip by quiet driver Watari Misaki (Miura Toko). While spending time with Misaki and recalling the past, he comes to realize many things that he had failed to see.
