  • Shiki Oriori (DVD) (English Subtitled) (Japan Version) DVD Region 2 Japanese Animation
Following the massive success of Your Name, CoMix Wave Films presents three beautifully animated stories of youth, longing and nostalgia in Shiki Oriori (a.k.a. Flavors of Youth). The animation studio collaborated with China's Haoliners Animation to create an anthology set in Hunan, Guangzhou and Shanghai. Using the unique beauty and culture of each Chinese metropolis as backdrop, the three short stories bring out the stirring sentiments and breathtaking images the studio is known for.

In Hidamari no Choshoku, a young man working in Beijing reminisces of his childhood in Hunan. He warmly recalls living in the countryside with his grandmother and the bowl of traditional rice noodles that she used to make for breakfast. The short is based on director Yi Xiaoxing's own essay and experiences.

Takeuchi Yoshiki, the CG chief of Shinkai Makot's works, directs Chiisana Fashion Show about two sisters in Guangzhou who lost their parents at a young age. One a model and the other a vocational student, the two have grown up relying on each other, but a divide forms between them because of their differing plans for the future.

Set in director Li Haoling's hometown, Shanghai Koi tells a story of first love and missed opportunity that begins in the 1990s. Years later, an incident brings the protagonists back together.
