Popular Hong Kong writer Chip Tsao makes his directorial debut with Enthralled. Known for his incisive and sometimes controversial opinions of current events, Tsao reflects the twisted morals of modern society through three interconnected tales of love, lust and memories. The stories revolve around the lives of three childhood friends: An overseas returnee (Christopher Goh) who falls in love with the young wife (Mandy Lieu) of an ambitious politician, a university lecturer (Tsui Tin Yau) who's searching for the truth about his late father and a handsome hair stylist (Kelvin Kwan) whose latest conquest is a rich, middle-aged divorcee (Candy Law). Tsao shows the troubled state of Hong Kong by showing the devastating effects that can happen when social classes, desires and ambitions collide.

Set Against the backdrop of modern Hong Kong, a sad city caught between liberty and tyranny, three stories of love and betrayal intertwine in a web of deceit and manipulation. Three primary school classmates, separated after the 1989 Tiananmen Massacre, meet up for a reunion through facebook at pub only to find themselves pining for the dreams of who they might have been. Adam (Christopher Goh), a British-educated banker, boldly goes home with a vain charming woman (Mandy Lieu) who is married to the next candidate for the Hong Kong Chief Executive. While Shing (Kelvin Kwan), a hairdresser, is having an affair with an older rich woman (Candy Lo) of his own, though he finds himself more attracted to her son. Ka-Lok (Tsui Tin Yau), who is a depressed university teacher who spends his time obsessing over the mysterious disappearance of his father. In a series of twists, the three strands unravel just as the former British Colon.
