Often cited as the first and most influential idol drama from Mainland China, the hit 1998 TV series Cherish Our Love Forever captured the hearts of a generation of hopeless romantics. Twelve years later, director Zhang Yibai (Lost, Indulgence) is reunited with the drama's stars Xu Jinglei (Go Lala Go!) and Li Yapeng (The Legend of Arching Hero) in the theatrical sequel Eternal Moment, which provides a resolution to the classic series. In fact, the thoughtful filmmakers devised not one, but three different outcomes for the bittersweet romance between college lovers Yang Zheng (Li Yapeng) and Wen Hui (Xu Jinglei) that was left unresolved in the series. What would happen to them after 12 years? There are countless possibilities, and the film presents three realistic scenarios, through which we would learn that while life makes one weary and cynical, the heart still retains the capability to love and be touched by it.

Eternal Moment also features returning cast member Wang Xuebing, plus cameo appearances of actress Vicki Zhao, director Ning Hao, singer He Jie, and Hong Kong actor Chapman To. Further boosted by a popular theme song duetted by Faye Wong and Eason Chan, the film grossed over RMB200 million at the 2011 Valentine's Day frame to become the biggest Chinese romance movie ever.

Part 1 - Beijing
Yang (Yapeng Li) and Wen (Xu Jingle) have married for almost 10 years. yang is promoted to the executive position in a big corporation while Wen manages the family on her own. Life and work seems to be getting more tedious for Yang day after day. One day, he runs away from home and lives in a hotel across the street. He wants a second for breathing and get Wen’s attention. He keeps watchful eyes on Wen through a telescope. Days go by and there is no evidence that Wen has been looking for him. Although frustrated, Yang finds out more secrets about Wen through the telescope….

Part 2 – Shanghai
After ten years of separation , Yang repairs car for living in Beijing, and getting a divorce. Wen sells cell phone for living in Shanghai, and living with two kids after divorced. They meet at a schoolmate reunion again, and friends are having fun with their pass relationship. Just before the two are about leave, they realize that the feelings they used to have is back. However, they have changed a lot in ten years. How could they compromise and accept the changes?

Part 3 – Bordeaux, France
A Crying call from Wen in France disrupts Yang’s life. Yang leaves for France to look for Wen, but accidentally finds himself in Wen’s family crisis. Whistle Yang and Wen pick up the romance a while ago between each other, Wen’s husband Pan shows up. Yang decides to leave. When Wen is ready to start a new life with her husband, she discovers Yang has never left Wen all these years from Yang’s cell phone….
