Eun Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon), who suffers from heart disease and is the only daughter of a well-off family, realizes that she is a supporting character from the comic Secret. Though she is engaged to Baek Kyung (Lee Jae Wook) in the story, she happens to notice and fall in love with extra Number 13 (Kim Ro Woon) after being saved by him several times. They also find out they were characters in the same writer's previous work, where Number 13 was named Ha Ru (Kim Ro Woon). With Ha Ru's help, Dan Oh realizes her true identity and begins to fight against her destiny.
