There's no undercover job more extreme than... running a fried chicken joint! Directed by Lee Byeong Hun (Twenty), the blockbuster 2019 police comedy Extreme Job garnered over 16 million admissions to become the second biggest Korean film of all time. Acclaimed actor Ryu Seung Ryong (The Admiral: Roaring Currents) leads a squad of bumbling detectives who set up shop at a fried chicken restaurant to monitor drug dealers, but instead get overwhelmed by their bustling business.
Narcotics detective Go (Ryu Seung Ryong) is perennially passed over for promotion. He's been a squad captain for ages, and everyone, including his wife, keeps pointing it out to him. Looking for a big catch, he and his ragtag team of detectives Jang (Honey Lee), Ma (Jin Seon Kyu), Young Ho (Lee Dong Hwi) and Jae Hoon (Gong Myung) set their eyes on a major syndicate. To monitor the criminals, they take over a failing fried chicken restaurant across the street from their hideout, expecting there to be no business. Unexpectedly, their delicious fried chicken recipe becomes a big hit and soon customers are lining out into the street! But with so much chicken to fry, when will these police have time to do actual police work?

The narcotics team works hard day and night, but their performance remains at an all-time low, leading them to become the ugly duckling of the police department and potentially face dismantlement. Captain KO gets intel about an international drug deal and embarks on a risky undercover mission with his entire team. In order to establish around-the-clock and up-close-and-personal surveillance, the team takes over a rundown chicken joint across the street from the drug gang's safe house. But things take an unexpected turn when Detective MA's yet unrevealed culinary talents begins to shine, turning the chicken restaurant famous overnight. Should we chase chickens or criminals? When customers begin to flock in, undercover work gets pushed to the back burner so the detectives can focus on frying chicken. As a result, the team misses the big drug deal, even though it happens right under their nose. Now, with nowhere to go, the detectives launch a desperate mop-up operation.
