Super Junior-M member Henry Lau makes his acting debut in the culinary drama Final Recipe, which played at the 64th Berlin Film Festival, the 61st San Sebastian Film Festival and the 39th Toronto Film Festival. Directed by Korean filmmaker Gina Kim (Faces of Seoul), the English-language comedy-drama sees the Chinese-Canadian K-pop idol earnestly cooking up a storm opposite legendary actress Michelle Yeoh and Singapore actor Chin Han (The Dark Knight). Michelin-starred celebrity chef Daniel Boulud also makes a special appearance in this delicious fusion of cuisines and cultures.

Singapore high school senior Mark (Henry Lau) is just a happy-go-lucky youth who enjoys cooking, though his grandfather hopes he will pursue an engineering career. When his grandfather falls ill, their family restaurant suddenly faces the threat of foreclosure. To save the restaurant, Mark enters a cooking competition that brings him to Shanghai. As the young amateur chef emerges against the odds as one of the top contenders, he captures the attention of show runner Julia (Michelle Yeoh) and her chef husband David (Chin Han), who has a connection to Mark.
