Korean superstar Rain makes his Chinese film debut in the romantic melodrama For Love or Money, an adaptation of Hong Kong writer Amy Cheung's 2006 novel Love Like Dew. Rain stars as Xu Chengxun, a corporate heir who has no interest in the family business and chooses to live as a starving artist instead, much to his mother's disapproval. Chengxun's mother hires Xing Lu (Crystal Liu, The Four) to get close to him and then dump him, hoping that a hard setback would drive him back home. Xing Lu, who has stopped believing in love ever since a failed relationship, carries out the scheme as planned, but finds herself falling in love with Chengxun.
