Big Bang leader G-Dragon landed a phenomenal hit in 2009 with his best-selling debut solo album Heartbreaker. He followed with the Shine A Light solo concert tour at Seoul's Olympic Park on December 5 and 6. The edgy idol put on an amazing performance that courted fervent cheers as well as headline-splashing controversy because of the implied sexuality and violence in parts of the show. To cater to audiences of different ages, the Shine A Light concert is being released on DVD in two versions. This edition comes with the Uncut Version of the concert which has been rated 15+ in Korea.

G-Dragon performed all the songs from his album including hits Heartbreaker, Breathe, and Butterfly, as well as his previous solo number This love. Bandmate Tae Yang showed up for Korean Dream and "Look At Me Only", and other YG artists like Teddy, CL, and Kush also made guest appearances. The second disc of the 2-DVD release includes concert making and other special features.

This release includes a 176-page photobook.

2009년 가요계를 휩쓴 G-Dragon의 결정판!

2009년 12월 5일부터 6일까지, 양일간 국내에서 가장 큰 실내 공연장 중 하나인 올림픽 체조경기장에서 열린 G-Dragon의 첫 번째 단독콘서트 라이브 앨범 [SHINE A LIGHT]가 DVD로 발매된다.

The DVD and photobook are extraordinary as they are however a cut or edit was made. For example, The Michael Jackson dance he did was cut from the video which is disappointing. Other than that minor thing the concert is just pure gold and everyone who is a fan should buy it. I danced and laughed and then cried. Truly amazing and beautiful. Buy it people, it's worth every penny.

This product arrived very quickly and in excellent condition. The preview of the cover at the top is slightly misleading in its display of colours, because the actual case is black with silver writing and picture (as opposed to the light-coloured background and black writing/picture as shown above). This doesn't really matter though, because it still looks very cool. The actual photobook (which also has teh DVDs in it) is a silver colour with white writing, thus creating a nice visual contrast to the dark outer cover. The pictures are very beautiful and have the occasional lyrics as captions. A nice touch is the fact that when the book is closed, the side of the pages spells out 'G-DRAGON'! While the most pages are pics from the concert (these are all glossy pages), there is a small section of matte pink pages at the back, which show photos of VIPs and ends with a personal message by GD. This is very original. The concert itself is just AMAZING! It features every song (both from his solo album and previous singles such as 'This Love') and has great appearances by other singers. GD's energy is unparalleled and gets everybody excited! This product is great and I highlly recommend it to all GD fans, VIPs or people who want to get into Kpop! Simply AWESOME!
