It is the year 2030 and cyberbrain and cyborg technologies have blurred the distinction between the physical and the digital worlds, throwing into question the definition of what is truly human. As crime begins to grow exponentially in both execution and design, the government has created a special police unit - Section 9 - to combat this new kind of threat.

Disbanded at the end of season one, Section 9 are called back into action by the PM after terrorists take over one of the embassies. If they can rescue the hostages she will re-instate the unit permanently. But there are worse problems facing Japan. A second Vietnam War has flooded the country with illegal immigrants, causing resentment among the middle classes. They want their taxes spent on improving the country, not feeding asylum seekers who are taking all the jobs.

However, when the mysterious Mr. Gohda, from the Cabinet Information Security Division, approaches Section 9 for help in a top secret military matter, without the PM's blessing, it appears that there is more at stake than anybody could have possibly foreseen.

The First Press Limited Edition also comes with the promotion video for the North American version, image gallery, a booklet, plus other extras. English dubbing is now available for all 26 episodes in this collection.

S.A.C (2nd Gig)is the second & current season of the Japanese TV series. Great music, fast paced action & a greater insight of the main characters.I think this series is even better than "Stand Alone Complex" (2nd series). I highly recomend this series to all "Ghost in the Shell" fans
