'80s hit manga Hokuto no Ken gets the "Musou" treatment from KOEI!
Like the other 3D action games in the Musou series, Hokuto Musou is mainly about mowing down an endless supply of enemies. In this game, the two major game modes are the "Legendary Mode", which is based on the character stories in the original franchise, and the "Imaginary Mode" with the game's own original story. The Legendary Mode brings a whole new angle of action adventure to the Musou series, while the Imaginary Mode offers the good old tactical fighting that fans of the Musou series have known and loved.
Besides, the game is programmed with a physics engine that enables the gamer to pick up and use dropped items as weapons. It also makes actions like destroying buildings possible, which can only be done to a limited degree in the past Musou games. Another standout feature of Hokuto no Ken is its no-holds-barred approach to violence. Unlike the past Musou games, this title features graphic depiction of blood and gore in order to recreate the unique feel of the original property, even though it means the Musou series earning its first D rating (meaning for ages 17 and above) by CERO.
