The animated series Angel Beats! follows the adventures of the SSS, an organization that fights the gods for the tragic fate its member suffered before their deaths. To run their operations, they use diversionary tactics to distract Angel, a supernatural being who wants to destroy the SSS. One of those tactics is the rock band Girls Dead Monster. With the animated series ending, the Girls Dead Monsters are releasing their final two singles on the same day. All three songs on the Ichiban no Takaramono single are performed by the character Yui (the vocalist of the group's second stage), whose songs are performed by LiSA.

The single also comes with a bonus DVD with two music videos.
