Professional Review of "In Love with Love"

September 5, 2003

This professional review refers to In Love with Love Karaoke (VCD)

Love Offers Pleasing Dance & Ballad Album to Elva Fans!

The responses of Elva fans to her new album should be quite huge as her main track "Love" (Track 6) keeps up the standard of Elva's usual R&B songs, offers lyrics of high quality as well as melodic Rap!

"I am me" (Track 11) is made up of comparatively massive traditional Taiwanese mountain drum compositions and its atmosphere is a bit similar to the sound of A-Mei's early era. Of course its flair is not out-dated but rather incorporates modern recipes into an oldie-style tune. "Progressive Mode" (Track 2) is a folk duet packed with the traits of Hu Yan Bin and its intro offers a vibrant succession of triplet harp sound effects, which is very similar to his song "Monk". As for the duets, the bass vocal of Hu Yan Bin partly is quite low tuned, while Elva's solo part still occupies the lead position.

The backing arrangements of the triple beat "Your Girl Forever" (Track 5) are quite captivating and the song offers a style similar to that of F4's mellow ballads, which turn it into the type of song that should not be missing on a major album. As for the other slow-paced triple beat ballad "Thinking of You" (Track 7), it allows ample opportunity for Elva to display her musical talents and emotions. It has a very pleasant smooth melody and entirely reflects her artistic understanding of the low, middle & high vocal scale. This song meets the overall criteria quite nicely and also mirrors the star's inner feelings. The mid-tempo song "Bad Match" (Track 9) will probably be disregarded by her fans as most major productions still focus on fast-paced songs or ballads as main teasers.

The electro-beat filled "Primitive" (Track 8) and the dance pop rhythm tune "Exclusively for Love" (Track 4) also belong into the section of Elva's alternate strong fields. Elva's contributions to her album "Love" were quite big. As she was responsible for part of the production, e.g. selection of songs and sound mixing, the entire album portrays her individual strength to create music and this strategy most probably aims to please the taste of Elva's music lovers!

Recommendations: "Thinking of You" (Track 7), "Love" (Track 6), "Progressive Mode" (Track 2)

Wow, almost every song from the new album is a hit Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Now, I can finally understand why I like so many songs in this current album. It appears, from this VCD, every song is worthly to be released in KTV format! Chinese singers seems to work harder than English singers, it seems. :)

Some thing about Elva Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I just got the c.d "So Elva So Good!" with looks very good...it has 11 tracks all together for the people that didn't know that.
The cover looks great...i guess it is the best one she has done so far but i have not listened to the c.d yet bit i hope it is interesting!
The case is a DVD case size and don't let the DVD sign inside make yopu think it is a dvd because really it is a C.D!
Hope to hear from some good reviews that have bothered to move their ass and go out and buy the real copy to support the singer.

Thank you (mooo!)
