Following mega-hits Startling By Each Step and Scarlet Heart 2, Nicky Wu and Cecilia Liu pair up once again for the 2014 period school comedy Incisive Great Teacher! Produced by Nicky Wu himself, the TV series deftly mixes together comedy, romance and drama.

To promote gender equality, a new government decree has allowed women to attend school, but the law faces staunch opposition from the old guard. To ensure the decree is put into effect smoothly, government agent Liu Ao Tian (Nicky Wu) is sent undercover as a teacher at a newly co-ed school. Due to a misunderstanding, Ao Tian incurs the wrath of the feisty Lu Yun Fei (Cecilia Liu), who decides to also become a teacher at the school to continue to torment him. Together, they teach and nurture their students, who include rich kid Fan Da Tong (Ye Zuxin, Startling By Each Step) and poor girl Song Wen Wen (Gui Gui), while bickering all along the way. Ao Tian, along with his fellow teachers and students, must fend off traditionalists who wish to ruin the school, but as time passes by, he discovers that there's a dark force working from within the school itself.
