Lover's Concerto director Lee Han delves into discrimination in the judicial system in Korea in his box office hit Innocent Witness! Along With the Gods star Kim Hyang Gi plays the autistic Innocent Witness who opens her heart to Jung Woo Sung (The King), who won his first Grand Prize at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards. The stirring drama also co-stars Lee Kyu Hyung (You Call It Passion), Jang Young Nam (Miss Baek) and Yeom Hye Ran (I Can Speak), while Park Geun Hyung (Salut d'Amour), Lee Joon Hyuk (The Dude In Me) and child actress Lee Re (Hope) make special appearances.

Yang Soon Ho (Jung Woo Sung) used to work as a civil rights attorney but he's now joined a well-known law firm. He is appointed to a controversial case where his client Mi Ran (Yeom Hye Ran) is suspected of murdering her boss. In order to win the case, Soon Ho needs to communicate with the only witness, autistic girl Ji Woo (Kim Hyang Gi). Although Ji Woo bravely gives her testimony, the court and the public seem to doubt the credibility of her words. As the investigation and defense proceed, Soon Ho's ambition and conscience gradually put him in a dilemma.

‘Soon-ho’, who once worked as a lawyer for a civil rights organization, has set aside his beliefs and joined a large law firm. Working on a major case that could make him a partner, he wants to put ‘Ji-woo”, a teenager with autism and the only witness, on the stand to prove the innocence of a murder suspect.
‘Ji-woo’ has difficulties communicating, living in a world of her own. ‘Soon-ho’ tracks her down to ask her about what she witnessed, but is unable to even make a proper introduction. However, ‘Soon-ho’ does not give up and he tries to get ‘Ji-woo’ to open up. In time, he begins to understand ‘Ji-woo’ but the two are destined to meet in court as witness and attorney.
