Han Geng boxes for his daughter in the visceral sports action melodrama Knockout! Written and directed by Roy Chow (Rise of the Legend), the film follows an ex-boxer and single father's tenacious fight back into the ring. Knockout co-stars Vivian Woo and child actress Cai Shuling, as well as Philip Keung and Janine Chang in special appearances.
After getting released from prison, former boxing champion Zhou Shi (Han Geng) is determined to start anew on the straight for the sake of his daughter (Cai Shuling) and his late wife. In order to be a good father, he rejects the overtures of his ex-teammates and reluctantly goes to court to fight for custody rights. However, when his daughter suddenly falls ill, Zhou has no choice but to compromise with his mother-in-law (Vivian Woo) so that his daughter can get immediate medical treatment. To encourage her daughter in her fight against her illness, Zhou decides to fight alongside her by proving that he can be a boxing champion again.
