Stephy Tang and Patrick Kong team up again for the romance L for Love, L for Lies too, the thematic sequel to 2008's L for Love, L for Lies and latest in a long line of collaborations between the director and actress. Art imitates life with the breakup film arriving soon after her much publicized breakup with longtime partner and frequent co-star Alex Fong. More love and lies await in the quintessential Patrick Kong film about the cynical romantic games and cons of young Hong Kong urbanites. Louis Cheung co-stars in L for Love, L for Lies too, along with Bob Lam, Jacqueline Chong, Wilfred Lau, Dominic Ho, Miss Hong Kong Louisa Mak and veterans Elaine Jin, Nina Paw, Nora Miao and Shek Sau.

Life is frustrating for Bo (Stephy Tang) both at work and in love with her apathetic longtime boyfriend Sun (Wilfred Lau). Her mother (Elaine Jin), a former pop singer, only makes things worse with her insensitive comments. One night, Bo discovers that Sun is cheating on her. She heads to a bar to drown her sorrow in alcohol and almost gets tricked by a ring of swindlers, but she eventually sees through their ruse. Impressed by her quick wits, lead swindler Louis (Louis Cheung) unexpectedly invites Bo to join the ring!

Bo (Stephy Tanbg) is an ordinary office lady. Her mother (Elaine Jin) was a very successful and famous singer and her sister has just started to be an idol singer. Comparing herself with her mother and sister, Bo dwells a lot on herself being non-outstanding and she feels upset to be ordinary.

Bo and her boyfriend Sun (Wilfred Lau), who works as a finance broker, are together for many years. She always wishes to start a family with him. However, Sun has been fooling around for years and his flippant attitude has pushed the idea of marriage away.

Bo’s boss, Fanny committed suicide after breaking up with he boyfriend. Bo shared this tragedy to her best friend, Laura (Louisa Mak) who is a typical conspiracy theorist. She immediately threw out a bunch of nonsense theories threatening Bo that people around her will soon have problems with their relationships, and in the end, Bo will too.
