Imperial guard Yue (Law Mong) is discharged from the ranks thanks to his unswerving honesty, and strikes out into the world on his own. Yue comes into possession of a valuable box that was previously in the care of the mysterious Lady Red, and decides to complete her delivery mission to Bill Zhu (Johnny Wang Lung Wei). But Yue instead meets the wily Cun (comedy actor Yung Wang Yu), who pretends to be Zhu to get possession of the box for himself! The two spar, but manage to resolve their differences, and even become friends and open a kung-fu school together! But the real Bill Zhu does show up, as does the deepening mystery of the "hero list", a list of anti-Ching rebels which spells trouble for anyone on it! Awesome martial arts action and doses of genial buddy comedy combine in Lion vs. Lion, an entertaining action-comedy from veteran action directors Hsu Hsia and Chien Yueh Sheng.
