A group of surgeons are brought together to form an elite multidisciplinary team that specializes in the most difficult medical cases in the MBC drama Medical Top Team starring Kwon Sang Woo, Jeong Ryeo Won and Ju Ji Hoon. Kindhearted surgeon Park Tae Shin (Kwon San Woo) has top-notch skills and credentials but he chooses to work at a small nonprofit hospital in the countryside. [シリーズストーリー]
クァンへ大学病院開院６０周年祝賀会の席で、副院長に就任したシン・ヘス（キム・ヨンエ）は、内科科長ハン・スンジェ（チュ・ジフン）が発案した診療協力チーム“メディカル・トップチーム”のプロジェクトを発表する。一方、同じホテルでヘッドハンターと面談中だったパラン病院のパク・テシン（クォン・サンウ）は急病人を発見。救急処置を行うが、その方法をめぐって初対面のソ・ジュヨン（チョン・リョウォン）と言い争いになる。後日、呼吸不全に陥った小児患者ウン・バウィ（カル・ソウォン）をクァンへ大学病院に移送したテシンは、緊迫した状況の中でジュヨンと再会。ジュヨンはすぐにバウィの手術を始めようとするが、ＶＩＰ患者の容態が急変し、緊急手術に入ることになってしまう。執刀できる医師がいないことを理由に、ジュヨンとスンジェから他の病院への移送を薦められ、テシンはバウィの手術をさせてほしいと申し出る。スンジェは迷った末、手術室の使用を許可。手術は無事に成功し、さらに、テシンのとっさの判断がジュヨンとクァンヘ大学病院の危機を救うことになる。神業のような手術テクニックを目の当たりにしたスンジェは、テシンをメディカル・トップチームにスカウト。テシンはある提案に心を動かされ、トップチームへの参加を決意する…。
