The all-star cast of Takahashi Issey, Kuroki Haru, Sawajiri Erika, Fujiwara Tatsuya, Kitamura Kazuki and Ikeda Elaiza co-star in this spirited examination of how money affects life, family and friendship.
Life has not been easy for librarian Kazuo (Satoh Takeru) ever since his brother disappeared, leaving behind a mountain of debt. He works day and night and struggles to pay off the debt. Because of this, his wife (Kuroki Haru) leaves with their son. Then Kazuo hits the jackpot: a winning lottery ticket. With his winnings of 300 million yen, he can repay all his debt and repair his family. But when Kazuo looks online, he sees many stories of the misery that befalls lottery winners. Feeling uneasy, he seeks the advice of his wealthy best friend Tsukomo (Takahashi Issey). They talk and drink, and the next morning, both Tsukomo and the 300 million yen are gone. To find Tsukomo and his money, Kazuo begins to track down different people connected to his friend.

Ever since his brother ran up a debt of 30 million yen and took off, librarian Kazuo (32/Takeru Sato) has been moonlighting at a bread factory in order to pay it off. Complicating matters further is his wife, Masako (32). She has lost patience with her husband’s obsession to pay off the debt and the low regard he he shows for their family. Leaving behind divorce papers, she runs off with their daughter, Madoka (8). When it rains it pours, and Kazuo hits the lottery to the tune of 300 million yen. It occurs to him that not only will this pay off the debt, but it will get his family back. However, looking over the Internet at past lottery winners, he sees that their lives are far from perfect. Frightened, Kazuo decides to seek advice from close friend Tsukumo (32/Issey Takahashi), who became a billionaire after starting a business of his own. Kazuo is in high spirits to be reunited after so long with his friend, and the two hit the town for a night out. After passing out, Kazuo wakes up the next morning to find Tsukumo gone… along with his 300 million yen.
