From Vegas to Macau (2014) (DVD) (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region 3(1)Our Price: US$14.99August 5, 2014 Boring.
I am not a nostalgic for the old version. I am only bored. The jokes didn't even make me smile. The story was uninteresting. I also got nauseous from the shaky camera. I've seen many Chinese movies and enjoyed the jokes and everything. This is no "cultural difference" problem. It's just that they aren't trying hard enough.
Also, I think there should be a "shaky camera/drunk camera man" warning in the review of each movie. I really get sick watching these things.
I usually don't write reviews of movies I don't like, I just shut up and get over it. But I had really high expectations here and I'm disappointed.

April 26, 2013 I wish I had known this
This DVD is hard-subbed in Japanese, and the subtitle text is huge. Considering the rather high price, I was hoping for more options.
The Man from Nowhere (DVD) (Special Edition) (Japan Version)March 13, 2012 A most welcome surprise
I thought I was buying this movie to enjoy watching Won Bin. For a long time in the movie his face is half covered by his hairstyle. I couldn't really see any serious acting on his face. By the time he shaved his head, I was already aware of the real reason why this movie is interesting and addictive: the character Ramrowan, a bad guy with actual brains! From the moment he gave Cha Tae-sik that first intrigued look, I was hooked. I am so happy I bought this DVD! The only thing that makes me sad is that the Thai actor who plays Ramrowan is not so well known outside his country. I hope to see much more of him in the future!
