Sports, friendship, and cross-dressing cheerleaders?! Cocoa Boys leader Kamakari Kenta (
Saint Seiya musical) and fellow group member Suzuki Shogo (
Kamen Rider Decade) co-star in
Miss Boys!, a two-part film from
Tokyo Zombie director Sato Sakichi. About a high school cheerleader team who has to dress in women's clothing during basketball games, the strange concept may initially turn some audience members off. However,
Miss Boys! is actually a warm coming-of-age story about finding the courage to be confident about one's self-image.
Kenta stars as the always-handsome Sakamoto, the number one player of his school's basketball team. Due to his arrogance about his ability, the team advisor takes Sakamoto off the team to prevent the players from being reliant on him. In the meantime, Sakamoto is ordered to enter the cheerleading squad, one of the most disciplined groups in the school. However, he discovers that the team is actually comprised of men dressed in female cheerleaders' outfits. After a period of reluctance, Sakamoto sheds his handsome image to pick up the cheerleader uniform, and he even manages to develop a friendly bond with the other cheerleaders.
This edition includes the Kessen wa Toshien?! chapter (part one).
