This DVD boxset contains a trilogy of critically acclaimed films from Taiwan writer-director Wang Shau Di, who has won Golden Bell recognition several times for her television works such as Wayward Kenting and Police et vous. In 1997, Wang made Taiwan's first ever hand-drawn animated feature Grandma And Her Ghosts, earning her heaps of accolades in the international film festival circuit. That was followed up in 2004 by the kid drama Bear Hug, which was a big hit in the Golden Horse Awards that year. Wang's most recent cinematic work is the 2010 Taipei Film Festival's closing film Fantome, ou es-tu?, which again expresses the director's concern for children through her fantastical vision and imaginative storytelling.
