Based on the same-titled 2009 Korean film, Taiwan melodrama More Than Blue made many people cry on its way to becoming a box-office success in Asia. Directed by Gavin Lin (In Case of Love), the moving romance stars Ivy Chen (Girls) and Jasper Liu (Take Me to the Moon) as longtime friends who love each other too much to change their relationship. Other popular Taiwan stars like Annie Chen (White Lies, Black Lies), Bryan Chang (GF*BF), Shih Chih Tian (Take Me to the Moon), Pipi Yao (Take Me to the Moon), Bruce Hung (Cafe. Waiting. Love), Emma Wu (The Four), Da Qing (Seediq Bale) and pop diva A-Lin also appear in this "story sadder than sadness."
Close friends since high school, K (Jasper Liu) and Cream (Ivy Chen) have been roommates and each other's only family for a decade. They love each other dearly, but they're not lovers. Due to his unstable health, K doesn't dare to voice his feelings to Cream because he fears he will not be there for her in the future. Instead, he hopes that she finds someone else who can love and take care of her for life.
