Directed by Hsieh Chih Wen, Mystery Writers is based on Lobintan's novel about one of Taiwan's most famous haunted houses. Chen Yu (The World Between Us) and Masha Pan (Dr. Life Saver) star in this spine-chilling mystery that continues the trend of Taiwan horror films based on urban legends.
In 1984, a fire broke out in Jinxin Building and claimed 19 lives. Since then, scary rumors about Jinxin Building have persisted, but it still attracts many tenants because of the low rent. Pei Zhi (Chen Yu), whose mother is suspected of being the culprit behind the fire, returns to the building, hoping to comfort the souls of the dead. Pei Zhi and Shao Jun (Masha Pan), a horror novelist looking for inspiration, begin to investigate the truth of the fire. The answer is shocking beyond belief...
