The four actresses play sisters to a sole parent, patriarch Wang Yuanlong, who must come to terms with the fact that his four precious and unique daughters are reaching the age of marriage, and will soon be leaving him for their own lives. Meanwhile, the sisters entertain various suitors and go about their daily lives. They also bicker and banter, but are always there for one another in their individual struggles to maintain the independence - or simply to be heard! A loving look at the dynamics of family, and the bond of sisterhood which unites above all, Our Sister Hedy is another wonderful film from Cathay Studios, and mixes comedy, drama, and even a little pathos with a sweet tone that can only be called nostalgia.
