I've enjoyed many mainland series involving the Qing Dynasty but this one takes the cake. It's a little far fetched to start with (time travel) and I was a little apprehensive about the show. However, when Feng Shao Feng and Yang Mi had their first encounter, I knew it would be a blast.
Basically, Yang Mi a 21st century girl travelled back in time to the Qing Dynasty. She has the upperhand cause she knew the history of that period and used this knowledge to her advantage. Her encounter with the cool & calculative 4th Prince (Mickey He) who would become the future Emperor Yong Chen, wilful but strong 8th Prince (William Feng) plus the eventual love triangle among the 3 of them made the show extremely exciting. Sonja Kwok played her supporting role as concubine to the tilt with her various devious plots. There're many twists & turns, enough to keep you going gaga. The main characters on-screen chemistry were fantastic especially when William and Mickey had cooperated in many other shows before. This is THE show which puts William Feng on the international scene (and probably forever tagged with the title of 8th Prince) and I predict many more good things to happen. William Feng's acting skills are really improving by leaps and bounds. He's versatile in all depts and |

BEST ROMANTIC HISTORICAL DRAMA OF THE YEAR!!!
| William Feng Shao Feng and Yang Mi are so amazing in here. Their chemistry are superior! I don't like to watch too much of china drama b/c of fighting, too much history , and lack of romance between the main leads. Here, you see a little of everything but a lot of romance which I'm a sucker for. The OSt is what caught my attention! GREAT DRAMA, ACTORS ESP FSF AND YANG MI, ROMANCE! I wish for this drama to have english subtitle soon so I can order a copy for myself. This is a must keep drama. Any one who love MG, HYD, please please please watch this drama, you won't ever regret it. Love to see more of Yang Mi and William together in future drama is possible. |

Awesome Drama!

Do not miss this great drama!! Everything about this drama is amazing! The music is so mesmorizing! I will
be buying the ost the minute I find it for sale! The acting/characters are so great! There are plenty to hate/love! The setting/costumes are beautiful! THe storyline kept me begging for more. For any Hana Yori Dango/Metoeor Garden/Boys over Flowers fans there are a lot of storyline parts that seem to be taken from adapations of HYD. Unfortunately there aren't english subtitles on this version of the dvd. I hope they sell it with english subtitles soon! |

Super Awesome!!!
Super Awesome!!!
| I would highly recommend this drama. I watch it so many times without getting bored. The 3 main cast did an excellent job. Yang Mi, Feng Shao Feng and Mickey He look good together. Honestly, I didn't like Mickey since watching "Rose Martial World" but after this drama, I start liking him. Of course, Yang Mi is my favorite actress since Chinese Paladin 3 and Feng Shao Feng since The Drive of Life. Also, the theme song by Mickey and Yang Mi, and ending song by Mickey are so good. Mickey and Yang Mi rock the OST. Great actors and singers. I love the story begin in Qing Dynasty. |
