Part-Time Girlfriend, or PTGF, is a term used to describe the phenomenon of women who rent out their services as girlfriends. Directed by Terry Cheng, the Hong Kong film Part-Time Girlfriend is based on an online novel inspired by true events. One Second Champion director and ToNick member Chiu Sin Hang stars as an everyday guy who dives into the world of #PTGF. Larine Tang (The Yuppie Fantasia 3), Ashina Kwok (The Fallen), ViuTV host Charlotte Cheung, YouTuber Nami and models Rose Ma and Kiwi Ching appear as PTGF in the film.
More than 3,000 photos of PTGF are leaked overnight online, causing a great storm and cruelly exposing many young women. At the center of this storm is an ordinary office worker. One year ago, Wong Ka Chun (Chiu Sin Hang) was still smarting from the memory of being cheated on by his first love. At a get-together, his average-looking friend brings along a very hot girlfriend, much to the envy of everyone present. Ka Chun inadvertently learns that the girlfriend was actually "rented." Intrigued by this world of part-time girlfriends, Ka Chun uses social media to find dates. After going through some scams and setbacks, he grows into a master of the process. Ka Chun is both shocked and delighted to discover that the girl (Larine Tang) he likes is also a PTGF.
