YesAsia Editorial Description

Naval officer Chan Seok is sentenced to death for the murder of his senior officer. Recorded as dead on documents, he is ordered to board the top-secret nuclear submarine "Ghost" which is concealed from neighboring countries. Besides Chan Seok, all the other crew members are also recorded as dead. Nobody knows the backgrounds of the other people onboard and everyone is referred to by code numbers. Shortly afterwards, Ghost sets out on a secret mission, but its captain, the only man who knows details of the mission, is killed by the deputy captain. The key to launch weapons is left in Chan Seok's care. When Ghost comes across a Japanese submarine, the deputy captain becomes upset and orders an immediate torpedo attack.

Naval officer, Chan-Suk Lee, shoots his superior officer on board the Janbogo submarine during a drill exercise. He is executed by a firing squad, but wakes up to find himself still alive in another gigantic submarine, the Phantom, which is a sierra-class nuclear submarine sent from Russia to substitute a loan. Action Movie Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
this is an action move which is well balanced between story and action. Often, the story can easily be drowned out by special effects etc. This movie is scarce on special effect and strong on drama.

Well acted by the cast generally. Jung Woo Sung is found without a counterpart of equal presence and stature, and therefore dominates the movie. This is no bad thing either: he can act!

Very good submarine movie Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
It's a very niced shot movie about a submarine crisis. Similar in some points to the red october, I wouldn't dare to say this is better, but it's surely far better than U-571. The plot isn't bad at all, it's very interesting. The DVD quality is very good too. I wouldn't consider it as a Masterpiece, but as a very good movie. The Korean movie market is improving very fast and this movie is a great example of this.
