She also finds a new job as a tutor to a genial gentleman, but the man's rich son wants his father's inheritance all to himself. Eighties comedy wackiness and the comedic talents of Josephine Siao and Ricky Hui highlight Plane Jane to the Rescue, a sequel-of-sorts to the earlier Lam Ah Chun films Lam Ah Chun and Lam Ah Chun Blunders Again. 林亞珍（蕭芳芳 飾）四處找工作，但照例是碰得一鼻子灰，鬧出不少笑話，幸而事業失意，情場方面卻前所未有的春風得意，在一次偶然的重逢之後，她的兒時同伴曾非凡（許冠英 飾）向她展開猛烈追求，但林亞珍對戀愛拍拖之類事情懵懵然，常常摟腰當搔癢，搭膊親熱當打拳，使曾非凡時感冇癮之至。同時一個名為「沙達」的集團，正以高價瘋狂收購香港地皮，以「大魚食細魚」戰略謀取暴利，林亞珍本其一貫敢作敢為兼且富有正義感的性格，不肯袖手旁觀，卒之也被捲入漩渦，甚至被集團殺手追蹤，性命亦受到威脅……
