Directed by Hong Kong entertainment industry journeyman Tony Leung Hung Wah and starring a group of fresh-faced young actors, Probation Order is a drama that revolves around a few individuals who frequent or work at apm café.
Run by former social worker Lap (Liu Kai Chi, As the Light Goes Out), apm café is frequented by a group of troubled youth, each struggling with problems such as drug addiction and prostitution. One day, thanks to a chance that arises from coincidence, Tinky, one of the more troubled café-goers, decides to steal the diamond ring Triad boss Lung intended to give his wife for their third anniversary. When he discovers the ring is missing, Lung descends into rage. The only person Tinky and her friends can turn to for help is Lap...

Product Information
In an ‘apm Café, a round-the-clock café with no liquor license, so people gathering here are mostly youngsters. The owner ‘Lap’ was a social worker 5 years ago, experienced in dealing with rebellious teenagers and helping them to change. However, he quitted his job one day and opened this café. Fruit, Lap’s younger brother, an in-service social worker, handles his work with prudence.
Tinky is one of the probationers that Fruit works with and she has a bunch of wayward friends from drug addicts, gays to trans-genders. Driven by their need of money to make wishes come true, Tinky helps scheme a series of tacit thefts. She even steals a precious diamond ring to Bro Lung’s, a gangster head, wedding anniversary banquet. Bro Lung soon finds out the truth and threatens her. Under the protection of Lap, an untold story changes the situation and every young person’s life….
